Hagiwara Walking Tour is a deeply localized walking tour held at Hagiwara town. Compared to Gero Hot Spring area, Hagiwara is smaller and non-crowded but has some historical spots to visit. Enjoy this activity to get to know more about Gero!

Starting at JR station, you will visit a local shrine first. Not only the long history but it has a unique story to tell, and your knowledgable English speaking guide will explain it to you.

The best part of tour is sake brewery visit. The sake brewery is the oldest shop in Gero actually. The kind sake brewer will welcome you to enter the sake world. Understanding how to brew sake, you will taste various kinds of sake and enjoy tasting the difference of flavors.

After sake tasting, you will have a short break at the old sweet shop. It is a Japanese traditional confectionary. All generations in the town love their snack and so do you.

Through the 2 hours gentle walking, you will be like a local person who knows the history of town so much.

We will see at JR Hida Hagiwara station. Please let us know tour starting time you prefer when booking.

You will visit Tenryo Sake Brewery to understand how to make sake and enjoy tasting. The sake brewer is very enthusiastic so definitely you like him!
